Overview
Intel Wireless-AC 7260, code name Wilkins Peak is the Very High Throughput (VHT-5G) Wi-Fi 2 x 2 and Bluetooth combination single chip solution. It uses Intel 802.11ac Wi-Fi solution and supports both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands. On the 5.0 GHz band, it operates on an 80 MHz wide channel reaching PHY rates of up to 867 Mbps. The Intel 7260 wireless uses a Bluetooth core that support Bluetooth 4.0 standard including Bluetooth 3.0 High Speed and Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (BLE). The Intel card also has 2 antenna ports; one with Wi-Fi only and the second is shared between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
